Letter from the Project Director

Thank you for visiting our website!

The LESD Family Resource & Learning Center has a proud tradition of serving and partnering with the communities of Lamont and Weedpatch. Started over 30 years ago, the LESD-FRLC began as a group of committed organizations and agencies who came together to examine how services were being provided to the community in order to ensure that they were meeting the needs of the residents and families of our community. Through a Healthy Start grant, and a growing body of collaborative-minded organizations working through the South Valley Neighborhood Partnership – Lamont Weedpatch Collaborative, the LWFRC has grown to be a recognized hub for services and community efforts in Lamont and Weedpatch.

I hope as you explore our website you will see how you can be a part of these collaborative efforts to serve the communities of Lamont and Weedpatch. If you are interested in partnering with us and the community, please consider attending a South Valley Neighborhood Partnership Collaborative meeting.

I am pleased and excited to be able to carry on the FRLC tradition of partnering with and serving these communities and I look forward to continuing to work with the community to achieve our vision, that “every family and child is healthy, safe, and ready to learn.” I hope you will join us as well!
