Lamont Elementary School District’s Garden Education Program, in partnership with California Department of Farm and Agriculture, works to support healthy eating and active living among students and families of LESD through increased awareness of and education about growing healthy food.
LESD's Nutrition Education Program target students, parents, and other community members to support and learn in our school gardens. The Family Resource Center lobby always has nutrition education pamphlets and food stamp information available.
Students in the district receive nutrition education during the after school programs using Harvest of the Month, Dairy Council, Network for a Healthy California Power Play!, MyPyramid, and others
