Lamont Vineland School Readiness Initiative
Preparing Children for Kindergarten, College, and Career…
Program Overview
The Lamont Vineland School Readiness Program works to ensure that every child and family who enters Kindergarten in the Lamont and Weedpatch communities is prepared to be successful throughout Kindergarten and on to College and Career. We do this by making most LESD-FRLC services available to the family of any child in the community who is age 0-5, or pregnant women. These services include One-Stop Resources and Referrals, Family Support Services such as case management, and participation in programs such as Operation Gobble and community events. This also includes Parent Education that assists parents in acquiring specific skills they will need as children enter and continue in school, including classes that meet the requirements for court-mandated parent education.
